Quin-Syn Lubricant:
The only lubricant that's technically perfect for Quincy Rotary Screw Compressors

• High viscosity index. Quincy tested various ATF, motor oil, turbine oil, diester synthetic, polyglycol synthetic, commercially available PAO, and other special compressor lubricants for their ability to maintain a stable viscosity under extreme operating conditions. Quincy mandated that Quin-Syn's failure point be at least 40% above the best fluids tested.
• Good demulsibility. When water combines with lubricant, that lubricant's ability to protect bearing drops dramatically. Quincy's lubricant testing included an analysis to determine water separation characteristics. Several other lubricants, including some motor oils and polyglycols, formed an emulsion with water and could not be separated at all. Quin-Syn provides a level of demulsibility 400% better than any of the tested lubricants.
• Excellent hydrolytic stability. Water and water vapor are always present in compressed air systems, and can degrade various components of a lubricant's additive package. Quin-Syn was specifically formulated to avoid this problem.
• Outstanding mechanical separation. Quin-Syn was engineered to reduce the tendency of lubricants to form aerosols and vapors, the most difficult to separate. The combination of Quincy's separator element design and Quin-Syn formulation contribute to Quincy's low downstream carryover rate of less than one part per million in most applications.
• Component compatibility. Another prime consideration in lubricant formulation is that it not be harmful to compressor and compressed air system components. Unlike some other synthetics, Quin-Syn will not cause swelling of Buna-N elastomers or damage paint if spilled.
• Ecological compatibility. Quin-Syn is formulated to be non-toxic and non-hazardous. No expensive special handling is required. Since Quin-Syn is an extended-life lubricant, less fluid has to be handled at all. It is also easily recyclable with regular motor oils.
• Free testing program. To ensure Quin-Syn's maximum performance under any operating conditions, Quincy offers a free lubricant analysis program to Quin-Syn users. This program alerts users to contamination, and estimates remaining lubricant life so that change-outs can be scheduled well in advance.
